Shane has a passion for numbers and figuring out how things work. This starts to make sense when he explains that one of his favorite authors, Edward O. Thorpe, was the first to prove that a player can beat the house odds in blackjack, and the first to invent a wearable computer to compute which quadrant a roulette ball would fall on a roulette wheel. Shane studied Economics and English Literature at Vanderbilt.
The first stop for Shane’s professional career was in 2010 at Sun Valley Investment Professionals where he was a hedge fund investment analyst. From there he transitioned to Avondale Partners in 2014 where he has risen rapidly from Associate Analyst to Senior Associate Analyst to Equity Research Analyst, and most recently to his current position as Investment Banking Associate.
Shane grew up in Minneapolis, attended Vanderbilt University and married his high school sweetheart. He enjoys fishing with his family and friends for Lake Trout, Walleye and Northern Pike on those Minnesota lakes, and he is loyal to his Vikings, Twins, Timber Wolves, Gophers and Commodores.
